At 10.5 ABV, this is not a beer to be taken lightly. No carbonation
when I cracked the can… it made me wonder if there was a problem.
Poured it from a high point with the hope that I might actually get a
head to develop. Mission accomplished!
Pours like motor oil. Seriously. Deep, dark and dangerous. Very subtle nose, nothing to suggest the assault to come with a taste. Very smoky at first, giving way to tar, coffee and chocolate. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. A bit of bitterness on the end, just enough to let you know it’s there.
This is a beer to be enjoyed on a cold dark night or snowy
afternoon… if you can find it.
